Pat Martino

I have had the pleasure of seeing Pat Martino live twice and I have always come away from the concerts fully realizing why Pat Martino is an icon of Jazz Guitar. His spiritual and technical approach to the instrument is uncanny as is his contribution to the discipline that is Jazz Guitar. He is also, at least it seems to me anyway, very humbled by this legacy which only makes him seem that much more in touch with those elements that make a true player, a player.

He is one of my favourite player, great articulation, good chops and great musicality.
The “Remember - tribute to Wes Montgomery” was great as well, but only if it was better recorded.
