Hey all. I received an email informing me that Jimmy Bruno and Joe Beck will rekindle the magic in a concert setting next Sunday, the 25th of November. For those who may not know, Jimmy and Joe made an album back in 1999 titled “Polarity” which was received well by fans and critics alike. It’s a wonderful collaboration between two outstanding players who contribute their taste and maturity to the session leaving their egos behind. I highly recommend it. There’s a review over at www.jazzguitar.com by Bob Patterson which sums it up nicely. Jazz Guitar Life will also feature a short but interesting interview with Joe Beck in it’s next update. Joe has been battling lung cancer recently so it’s nice to see him getting back out there.

Jimmy Bruno & Joe Beck perform next Sunday at Jazz Month 2007
“Polarity” guitarists Jimmy Bruno & Joe Beck will be the finale performance of Jazz Month 2007 in Monmouth County New Jersey the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The Monmouth County Library hosts a month long series of renowned jazz musicians who perform every Sunday. Throughout November, the Jazz Month 2007 supplements the performances with jazz discussions and films for patrons and members.

This week, on November 25 at 2PM, the “Polarity” recording duo will perform together once again and close out the very successful series in Manalapan New Jersey.
