Thanks for mentioning the Howard Roberts site. I'm looking forward to checking it out. HR was quite an influence on me when I was starting out. He used to come to Boston a lot and do clinics at Berklee or at Wurlitzer music. I remember one clinic where someone asked him, "How do you use the whole tone scale?" He answered, "Sparingly, in soups and salads." Of course, after making  a joke he would go on and give excellent musical examples.</description>
