Randy Johnston - Jazz Guitarist

Hi all. I haven’t posted a video clip in a while so here is a video from one of my favorite Jazz Guitarists Randy Johnston. Randy is an exceptional player well versed in Bop, Blues and most importantly, taste. His lines are always hip and he’s forever swingin’, which you will notice in this video clip. In this clip, Randy is playing sideman to alto legend Lou Donaldson, alongside Dr. Lonnie Smith on Organ and Dany Burger on Drums.

I love me some Randy Johnston. I first picked up one of his CD’s back in ‘93 and was hooked.
He’s one of those hidden treasures that not to many people know about. It’s a shame because he is really good.
