Just a quick post to wish Jazz Guitarists Steve Khan and Will Bernard the best of luck at the 50th Anniversary of the Grammy Music Awards (2008). Steve is nominated in the Best Latin Jazz Album category for his album Borrowed Time (TIEMPO PRESTADO). Will is nominated in the Best Contemporary Jazz Album category for his album Party Hats which I have mentioned in a previous post.

Normally I do not give much attention to award shows of any kind. However, given that a mega-large audience will be watching the Grammy’s, it is my hope that any exposure to Jazz in general and Jazz Guitar in particular may spark an interest in those artists nominated by a wide-listening public. If that’s the case, then it’s a win-win all around…:) Feel free to comment on how you feel about award shows or the artists mentioned.
