If you happen to find yourself in Liverpool, England on April 15, 2008 you’ll have to check out “The International Jazz Guitar Spectacular” at the Liverpool Community College. According to the article in the Liverpool Daily Post “The International Jazz Guitar Spectacular, at the college next Tuesday, will mark Liverpool’s role as European Capital of Culture by ‘celebrating the links between the USA, the Port of Liverpool and North Wales’.” The IJGS features a nice lineup of local and International Jazz guitarists, including Howard Alden for the US, Gary Potter for Liverpool and Trefor Owen for North Wales. This sounds like it could be a nice treat for Jazz guitar fans and I would love to be able to attend. If you plan on attending this show please feel free to share with us the experience.
